Amanita Muskaria is a duo of sisters: Gabriela Muskała, the actress, and Monika Muskała, the translator of German language literature. Their play “Trip to Buenos Aires. Work in Regress” (printed in “Dialog” monthly 11/2001) ), had its premiere in December 2001 in .Jaracz Theatre in Łódź with G. Muskała in the role of Walerka (dir. Marian Półtoranos). In November 2005 „Trip to Buenos Aires” had its premiere in Teatr Dramatyczny in Warsaw. The play got through to the final of the contest for the best staging of Polish contemporary drama organized by Polish Ministry of Culture. The production participated in numerous festivals in Poland, as well as abroad: in Brussels and in Eger in Hungary. Gabriela Muskała was awarded with for the role of Walerka at the festivals in Kalisz, Wrocław and Bydgoszcz. She also got the Minstry of Culture Award and was nominated for a Feliks Warszawski Prize In October 2005 "Trip to Buenos Aires" translated by Doreen Daume has been published in Austria in the vanguard literary magazine “manuskripte”. The second Amanita Muskaria’s play "Daily Soup" („Dialog” 3/2007) had its premiere on the 26th of May 2007 on the stage of the National Theatre in Warsaw. The parts were played by Danuta Szaflarska, Halina Skoczyńska, Janusz Gajos and Anna Grycewicz. „Daily Soup” has been translated into German and Italian . It was presented during the Polish Dramaturgy Days „Polonia New Generation” in Italy (Napleć, early April 2007). .
